Posiflex’ Mozart BT Series POS Terminal Receives Good Design Award 2024

2024/11/18

This Award-Winning Design Blends Innovation with an Enhanced User Experience, Pushing the Boundaries of POS Potential.

Posiflex Technology Inc., a global leader in Point of Sale (POS) systems and Online to Offline (O2O) solutions, is pleased to announce that its latest flagship POS terminal series, Mozart BT, has been awarded 2024 GOOD DESIGN AWARD by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. As a result, the series is now entitled to carry the prestigious G Mark, a symbol specially created to represent the award and to act as a communication bridge between creators and users. Standing out in the office equipment category, Mozart BT was selected not only for its innovative and outstanding technology, but also for its recognized value in improving the well-being of individuals, communities, and future generations.

Established in 1957, the GOOD DESIGN AWARD is Japan's most prestigious design evaluation and promotion program, with significant international influence. It recognizes outstanding design works across diverse fields, including product design, architecture, and graphics, and serves as a benchmark for quality and innovation. Winning this award enhances the visibility and credibility of designers and companies alike. For 2024, under the theme "Brave Attitude, Organic Design," 1,579 outstanding works were selected from a total of 5,773 entries.

With a high degree of modularity and sleek elegance, Posiflex's Mozart BT Series POS terminal is designed to optimize retail space and the transaction process, with top-of-the-line hardware specifications packed into a minimal footprint. Powered by the Intel® 13th Generation processor and supporting dual 15" or 15.6" oTP LCD displays, the Mozart BT Series POS terminal with its oTP LCD offers high transparency and improved optical performance, enhancing visual clarity, reducing parallax, and delivering a smoother user experience. The Mozart BT integrates a thermal printer as part of its base stand and hides all cables and connectors from view. The printer can also be detached as a standalone unit for user convenience. The overall design is elegant, fast, and flexible, providing optimal space efficiency and aesthetics. It is ideal for commercial environments like fashion boutiques, hospitality venues, convenience stores, food and beverage establishments, and multifunctional storefronts.

"The GOOD DESIGN AWARD is an award with far-reaching international influence. We see this award not only as a significant recognition of our outstanding design of the Mozart BT product but also as an acknowledgment of our corporate value expressed through our designs," said Owen Chen, CEO of Posiflex Technology. "Our designs are driven by a commitment to prioritize the convenience and well-being of our users and consumers, with a vision to create a better world for tomorrow. We also deeply resonate with and support the principles behind the G Mark—humanity, honesty, innovation, aesthetics, and ethics—which are fundamental to our mission."

Companies or individuals that win the GOOD DESIGN AWARD are entitled to apply to use the G Mark for social communication and product promotion purposes. According to a survey conducted in February 2020, 81.0% of people said that they were aware of the "G Mark", and users perceived products with the "G Mark" as attractive, user-friendly and high-quality products, according to the order of response rates.1
